Can Haiti get any worse?  This seems like everything that can go wrong in Haiti has been going wrong.  Not only that Haiti is still in the processes of getting over through the massive earthquake still, but it is also battling the lack of clean water that they have.  The lack of clean water would result in to the disease Cholera.  In addition, they just found out that the current president had committed fraud to win the presidency… it’s like kicking something or someone when he or she is down! Boy I hope Haiti does better.

The second article is about the possibilities that cholera will end up in the United States as a pandemic disease, and the article says the chances are extremely slim.  Since the hurricane in New Orleans, Louisiana did not cause any damages to the way the water is purified it did not give out dirty water for the people to drink.  Although some people may get sick while eating seafood, but it is ultra rare it only happens in India, sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia.

In the third article it is talking about the origin where cholera has gotten to Haiti and it is South Asia.  And it is saying the person who had cholera came to Haiti and gave it to people in Haiti.  Since the Haitians probably share food with people a lot it began to spread fast.  More than 2,000 people have died in Haiti because of cholera. I just think that this article is pretty crazy because it identifies where the disease has come from.
